Gui Li and Xiao Bai journeyed together, ending up at the Jin Clan's altar in Qilidong. Unaware of local customs, Gui Li accidentally broke a taboo. Just as they faced trouble, the clan leader intervened. Gui Li explained their purpose and sought the Great Shaman's counsel. Waiting outside, Gui Li tried but disliked the clan's wine. Xiao Bai, a local, took it gladly and bested Jin Clan members in a drinking contest. With the Great Shaman's assent, they entered the altar. Gui Li pleaded for Bi Yao's resurrection, but Xiao Bai's drunkenness delayed the matter. Elsewhere, disciples from different sects gathered in Fenxiang Valley to plan a mission to Qilidong against the Evil Sect.
